Niti is very small village which is located on the border of Tibbet and last post of India. This village is one of the top list of travelers who are visiting the border of India in north. Travelling to Niti can be possible from April till Oct then after the extremely heavy snowfall this place declared to be no man zone. Even local villagers of Niti goes from here to down town places. The famous place of Niti is the Shivalya which is at 20 mins of hiking from the village. There you will see the five different current of water pouring on Shivling. This is highly devote place of Niti villagers. Niti Village is approx 3500 mtr above the sea level. And the roadway height is about 5600 mtr. This was the only route which once connected India to Tibbet known as “Silk Route”. Now the ITBP Indian Tibbet Border Police Force has set up over the Border Post. Since this is the highly classified place so getting here is requiring the permission from SDM Joshimath first. On village Bampa (6KM before Niti) you have to pass through the security check by ITBP Force. If they are agree with you ,then only you can proceed to further Niti Village. Most of the time the entry is only provided to the local villagers of Niti only.
