This place has a largest giant man made swimming pool built over a fresh water canal from Suswa River. Lachiwala is a complete fun place for families to spend time. Place is chosen well right between the dense natural forest with just the green trees all around. This is almost packed around the peek season of Apr to Sep with a straight of one km long swimming pool one after another. The pools are designed according to height of every person from 10 years old kid to 6ft tall guys. You can also hire the tyre tube and water balls for playing inside the pool. With around thousand of people visit this place forest department have taken this under it observation. Place is clean and security is watched by Uttarakhand police department.
You can also enjoy famous snacks and fast food with shops in the side way of pools.

Climate of Lachiwala
Weather of place is same as nearest city Dehradun. But due to packed surrounding of jungle there is bit drop of temperature around the swimming pools. Water current flows through the pools is so that cold you would get outside by yourself after sometime. In winter you will not find any tourist around here.
How to reach Lachiwala
The nearest city Dehradun which is just 22kms apart and lies exactly on Haridwar - Dehradun National Highway. You can see it's diversion route just below the flyover en route. Once you get near to it it's entrance gate you need to buy tickets for individual and for your vehicles (20/person 20/bike as per year 2015). Then after ticket you need to drive inside the jungle for around 3 kms then walk for 5 mins to reach pool side arena.
