Kunja Puri Temple

Situated on the 1700mts of height. temple is in the extreme top of the hill in Narendra Nagar (Rishikesh). And because of very popular religious place, every month thousands of pilgrims come and devote their faith to Kunja Puri Devi. In the time of Navratre and Astami the number of visitors become uncountable.
You will see the spectacular view of some highest peeks of North Himalaya which include Bandar Puch, Swargarohini and Ghodi Parwat as also seen from Badrinath.

Climate of Kunja Puri Temple
Once you are on the way to Kunjapuri from Rishikesh the mountains pass will start which is cold. But you dont need to carry warm clothes in summer. While in winter Kunja Puri Temple and its valley remains cover by snowfall. In the rainy sesions you will hike the stares with the dense fogs. In summer the place is very nice to visit.
How to reach Kunja Puri Temple
You can easily reach here by driving 25 km from Rishikesh to Narendra Nagar. You need to have your own car or best is to hire taxi from Rishikesh ,as public transportation is not very regular on this route. Once you reached here you can park your vehical in market side and start the way to the temple on the mountain top. The stairs are steep you could rest in many places if you want. Reaching here is bit of physical challenge for the people from plane areas. After having 30-40 min of hike you see the stunning view of Temple front and beautiful mountain valley in it's back.
