The location of temple is very green lush with the 3 km of jungle walk. In the route you will be passing through one of the biggest village of Chamoli District (Uttarkhand). The village is only famous for big land farming at a elevation of 2000 mts and passing through these green and red flower garden is most spectular feeling that the pilgrim ever got.
After the war of Mahabharat got over Pandwas started working for the Lord Shiv, but Shiva got disappear on different part of Uttarakhand and hairs are seen here.
Some Sant are keep on living in temple and they well serve the parsad and food for people who reach here. At this place you exactly feel how deeply you inside the nature because the nearest vehicles were lasting behind many mountains back. Over place is surrounded by river, jungle and huge water fall. There is a staying facility in the Village Urgam with hotels.
The localize of this village keep visiting Badrinath, Rudranath, Nandi Kund, Rudranath and Chopta from here with long weeks of trekking.

The climate of Kalpeshar is generally cold. This falls under of Rang of Himalaya's. Best part of this is the place is always opene for you. Temperature at summer remains at 25-30 °C. While in winter it could fall to 10 and even low.
How to reach Kalpeshwar Urgam Village
The road is only way to get here. It is 480Km from New Delhi. And the 3 km of trekking route from Urgam to Temple. Earliear in 2015 there was no road for this village so people have to trek 12 km from NH 58 to reach Urgam, But now local cabs will take you to the village. You need to get down from your bus on Helang and get in Urgam taxi. Nearest Airport and Railway to reach here is Jolly Grant in Dehradun which is around 300km.
