Hampta Pass Trek The Best Monsoon Trek

    Himanchal Pradesh / Manali / 29-Jul-2017

Hampta Pass is a mystique pass in its own way. Emerging out from the valley of Kullu, Hampta pass is a magical corridor which leads you to Lahaul. It’s a pass with stream flowing by, clouds floating overhead, big boulders, with the most stunning vertical mountains and glaciers right beside it. Trekking along the terrain by the stream in a total wild, with the music of just the water and mounts, it feels no less than a paradise. The pass offers you to treasure the beautiful, commanding view of the Lahaul Valley.
Located at a height of 4270m (14,009 ft), Hampta pass falls in the Pir Panjal range of Western Himalayas. The pass got it’s name from a nearby village, named Hampta village. The place is mainly nomadic. In summer time the pass is used by the shepherds for grazing their animals in the Lahaul valley (opportunity to know their life). The Hampta pass trek is a 5-6 day trek. You can turn your trip back from Chhatru, but for those who desire more adventure can extend their journey to the beautiful Chandrataal lake.
