Dayara Bugyal is the second largest gazing ground after Bedni Bugyaal. As the summer season starts Dayara Bugyal gets packed with hundreds of herd of sheep and cows. This event offers the stunning view which is far more than metro city life. Bugyal is known for huge and largest gazing ground on certain heights, in local language. Here as far as you see, your eyes will only see the natural green meadow there are no trees. The feeling which the tourists get after taking their feet above 3200 mts height is joyful and totally excited especially when they have came from city like New Delhi. Last from many years shepherds and gujjars have been taking their flock to graze at Dayara and their cattle's enjoy this grass for next six to seven months. Best time to Dayara is trekked in month of March when entire area is covered with snow and for best summer session you need to trek after moon son in Sep. This trek can be done without a local guide, Because the path is well marked. In case you have much bag packs more than 15 kgs then you must have to hire a porter. The daily basis charge of them is 600/day.

Climate of Dayara Bugyaal

You should always bring your warm clothes here. In summer the average temperature is 18-23 deg Celsius. In winter it goes below 0. The sunshine is very strong and warm over the place.

How to reach Dayara Bugyaal

You need atleast 2 days more for your weekend for trek in. Distance of Dayara Bugyaal is 450 KM from New Delhi. The Nearest Railway and Airport lies in Dehradun which is approx 200 Km part. Uttarakhashi is the nearest city en-route. When you are approx 14 Km of Uttarkashi you will see a small sign board showing the diverted way of Dayara bugayaal. Take this diversion for next 4 Km which will lead you to Village Barsu. Here you have to park your vehicles and can shop necessary items as this place has the last shop. Then you can trekking straight up to jungle. As there are no any hotels or accommodation so you need to carry your tents and sleeping bags with you. But if you hire any local porter then he can make arrangements for your stay in local huts which are next to awesome. You will meet the forest rangers in the route and they will give the slips and permission for camping anywhere in Dayaraa. Per person this cost around 50/rs. If you carry DSLR so you have to 100Rs for every camera.
